Three auctions this week in Sydney

Estate, Kitchenalia, and Antiques

The Sydney room are bracing themselves for a round of three auctions in the next few days.

The first is the Estate Clearance Auction, to be held at 11am on Wednesday 15.  Over 470 lots to be sold, all unreserved.  The sale includes vintage tools, furniture, books, Asian art, affordable art, and small decorative arts.  To see the catalogue click here.

At 11am on Sunday, we are offering at auction over 240 lots of kitchen appliances and equipment - again without reserve.  The sale includes appliances from Sunbeam and Breville, serving dishes, BBQ's, fridges - everything one could wish for for the kitchen!  To see this catalogue please click here.

THE CHAS ROE ELECTRONICS MUSEUM

Wallaroo, South Australia

Charles Alexander Roe, or Chas, as he was known, was typical of many young people born in 1908 at a time when the world was emerging from the mechanical age and the discovery of electricity and all its uses were beginning to emerge.

Chas was a pioneer in radio and later television.

The Chas Roe Electronics Museum was designed to show some of the past developments in electronics and to pay homage to the many small retailers who invented, developed, serviced and educated the general public through a period of enormous change brought about by the discovery of electricity.

Motorclassica Classic Car Auction

Theodore Bruce appointed Official Auctioneers

RACV Motorclassica 2013 has selected Theodore Bruce, Australia's oldest auction house, as its official auction partner. Our Classic Car Specialist, James Nicholls, who was responsible for the 2012 auction, will once again manage the auction. For the first time the auction will be held on the Saturday evening, 26 October of the Motorclassica Event and already promises to have a marvellous array of cars. On offer will be a 1913 Nazzaro Tipo 2, believed to be one of only three cars left in the world from this manufacturer!

Due to space constraints at the show, there will be a maximum of thirty cars consigned to the sale. If you think your car should be included in the most prestigeous car auction to be held in Australia in recent history, please contact James Nicholls as soon as possible.

A magnificent collection of estate furniture, fine bric a brac, jewellery and paintings is to be offered by Theodore Bruce Auctions Pty Ltd, Australia's oldest Auction house, established 1878, at 6.00 pm on Wednesday 29th May at their Auction complex, 46 First Street, Brompton.

Antique furniture on offer includes a Victorian mahogany dining suite, comprising extension table, sideboard and eight chairs, cedar chiffonier, blackwood mirror back sideboard, cedar chest of seven drawers, mahogany chiffonier, rare blackwood bankers table with green tooled leather inset top, 19th Century mahogany fall front secretaire bookcase, bow fronted gentleman's press, blackwood dining suite, cedar comfy back dining chairs, mah-jong table, oak desk, wrought iron outdoor chairs, are standout pieces on offer.
